Arriving in Athens + first day exploring Plaka and Anafiotika

Kalispéra everyone!
Yesterday my mom and I arrived in Athens where it's very hot (but I love it! My motto is: the hotter the better😎)
As we had a very exhausting travel day we didn't do much yesterday but unpack everything and had dinner at a restaurant.
We did have a great welcome by the hotel owner Tamir! He's a very kind and also funny guy😂
When we got to our room, there was a bottle of bubbles waiting for us and Tamir ordered us to drink it, which we happily obliged of course😋, especially after having a very exhausting travel day
After we had 2 glasses and unpacked our bags we refreshed ourselves and changed into our summer clothes before heading out to dinner where I had the chicken kebab and my mom had the halloumi cheese.
Today we slept in till almost 10 AM and then we went on our way to explore in Plaka where I bought a lovely (and much needed) summer hat and also 2 magnets.
After Plaka we went to a nearby town called Anafiotika where we went to the Roman Agora.
So amazing how it still looks like how it was back in the Roman times!
Then we went to the bottom of the Akropolis where we went to the Areopagus Hill where Apostle Paul appeared before the Areopagus council!
OMG WHAT A VIEW WE HAD UP THERE!!!
Amazing panoramic views! Was a bit challenging to get up there but we made it safe and sound and it was SO WORTH it!

After this we were very exhausted so it was time to get back to our hotel and do some necessary refreshing after being in this hot weather all day long walking so much! I did 11.809 steps today😮😮😮
For dinner we went to Hoppers where I had a Mojito and the beef Arepa and mom had a Campari Spritz and the chicken Arepa.
Tomorrow's gonna be another exhausting but such an amazing day for sure!
