Today was part 2 of our sightseeing tour!
First we took the metro to the Buda Castle that we went to by cable car as we didn't want to hike the steep hill of stairs (one day of stairs is enough thank you very much😴😴😴)
When we got upstairs we had an amazing view over the city!
Then we walked to the National Hungarian museum which is just around the corner on that square.
We spent a good hour there visiting the 3 floors with all kinds of Hungarian objects, artifacts and stories about the castle itself and its King.
After the museum we went down again on the cable car to go take the bus to the metro station where we had to make a few stops before we got to the Central Market.
There we did some souvenir shopping.
Then we went back to the St. Stephen's Basilica where we went inside this time and it was gorgeous in there!
There was also a service going on when we were there so that was fun to see that happen. It was in English so we could understand everything while we were walking around.
As we had another 2 hours to kill before our dinner reservation, we spent some more time at the Christmas market where my mom had a hot wine and I had a Belgian hot chocolate😋😋😋 and also got some more souvenirs.
At 6PM we had a dinner reservation at the Goulash & Langosh bar. We already arrived there at 5.45 PM, but as it was pretty much empty at that time we could get our table right away.
We ordered a mojito (me) and aperol spritz (mom) before our dinner so we also ordered drinks for dinner too, thinking we would have the time to finish our first drinks, but dinner and our other drinks all arrived together so we ordered too much 😳
But we finished our first drinks by the end of our dinner and mom helped with my lemonade so I only had to leave a bit of that when we left😉
I ordered the beef goulash soup while mom ordered the bacon langosh and it was both delicious Hungarian food😋😋😋
The fun part being there before 7PM was that they had a playlist with all of Taylor Swift's songs on so this Swiftie girl right here really LOVED that!
I was dancing and singing along the entire time, taking me back to her ERAS tour in Amsterdam last year😍😍😍
After 7PM they played Christmas songs so we loved that too!
This is a very famous restaurant you HAVE to go to when in Budapest because you have all the traditional Hungarian food here and it's very delicious!
After dinner it was time to go back to our hotel and rest up after having another exhausting day😉
Unfortunately we're already leaving back home tomorrow afternoon so won't be able to do anything anymore here😢😢😢
But these 3 days were AMAZING and unforgettable & cherished moments I'll have forever, mostly all thanks to my dearest friend Candace who invited me up here🥰
See ya'll on my next travels😘
xoxo
