Cable car and donkey ride

Today we had a very slow morning, sleeping in till almost 11 AM😴

First thing on the agenda was a cable ride down to the harbor of Fira!

It only lasted about 3 minutes but it did gives us a beautiful view!

After walking around the harbor we went to the place where you ride on a donkey!

We did have to wait a long time because we were the first ones so they waited until a group of tourists came and then other people came too so we were enough to all go for a ride.

It was very exciting to say the least!

I had to hold on very tightly not to lose my balance!

Luckily my donkey was tied to the donkey of the owner in front of me so my donkey couldn't wander around like some other donkeys tried to do😂

By the end of the ride up the WAY TOO MANY stairs, there was a photographer who took pictures of each of us on our donkeys so I took a picture of my picture so you can all see how I sat on the donkey😉

Unfortunately they didn't drop us off at the top of the stairs so we had to walk a whole bunch of them till we reached the very top of the center of the town😓😓😓

We also saw a sign to the Catholic Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist but we didn't go there as we were on our way to the cable car ride

When we got to the center we roamed around some shops where I bought different kind of earrings before we went to have a necessary drink!

I had the strawberry Daiquiri that I tried for the first time and OMG THAT WAS DELICIOUS😋😋😋

This is def. one of my alltime fave cocktails from now on!

After our drinks, we did more shopping: souvenirs for my family and also some more jewelry for me: this time earrings and a bracelet with a typical eye symbol from Greece. Unfortunately the matching necklace was waaaay too tight so didn't buy that one...

When we got all of our souvenirs it was time for dinner which we had at an Italian restaurant called Cacio e Peppe where mom had the parma ham with melon and I had the carpaccio.
