Great Barrier Reef Cruise
Today I was able to cross off another World Heritage site because we spent the whole day at the Great Barrier Reef!
We got picked up at our hotel to go to the port where we left on the boat at 8.30 AM.
After about an hour of sailing into the huge gorgeous ocean, we made our first stop of the day for everyone who wanted to go scuba diving or snorkeling.
Unfortunately I can’t swim so we didn’t get to see the animals underwater such as stingrays, clown fishes like Nemo or even baby sharks.
Wish my brother was here cause this would be a dream come true for him to go diving there!
Luckily they had a small boat with a glass bottom so we did get to see the special reefs and some fishies 🐠
Then it was time for the lunch buffet before we went to a different spot for another round of scuba diving and snorkeling.
Mom and I basically spent the entire day relaxing on the boat, enjoying the gorgeous views of the ocean 🌊
Lastly we got some fresh fruits, cheese and crackers and some cake before we got back to the port at around 4.30 PM.
And so our first part of our Aussie vacation has come to an end as we’re leaving to our next destination tomorrow morning!

Even though the days were early, it was worth the exhaustion 😉
Luckily the next few days we’ll be able to sleep in and rest up
Oh btw: we just got treated to amazing fireworks 🎆
